Trend Micro Deep Security is one of the best products that deliver timely protection from attacks by leveraging the latest in global threat intelligence. It’s a wonderful product of Trendmicro that works seamlessly in the cloud. Starting from version 10.0, it is no longer bundles with Derby database for demo/proof of concept test wherein Enterprise database is unavailable. Firstly, download the SQL Express 2014 & SQL Management Studio.
It can be installed on the same server as Deep Security, so you advised to download the 64-bit version of SQL Express installers.
Once the file is downloaded, it’s time to execute the SQLEXPR_x64_ENU setup file.
Select a temp folder for the files you extracted.
Choose the option titled as New SQL Server stand-alone installation & then tick I accept the license terms checkbox.
Now Click the Next button & to avoid security vulnerabilities in SQL express check to Use Microsoft Update to check for updates (suggested) option.
You are now required to select the Database Engine Services as the only component to be installed.
You have to now modify the installation path for the customer environment.
You can mention the instance for SQL express in the given field. It is suggested to create a new one for Deep Security.
Once everything is done, set the Startup of SQL Browser Service to Automatic mode.
Select the Mixed Mode radio button & then you need to set a password for the system administrator (SA) profile.
It is recommended to choose a windows profile as the SQL Server Administrator.
Hit the Close button to finish the SQL Express 2014 installation & then exit the installer.
